This book opens with an extreme hook that doesn’t disappoint. The entire book pushes the reader forward, leaving just enough threads to pull you along. Ryen is easily to relate to and really feel for. Cash has great dialog that feels genuine and makes the character much more dynamic. The book is lengthy so be prepared for a long ride, and spoiler alert, it’s a cliffhanger. Plum builds her characters well while using an entire network of secondary characters to help support the story. She does well at keeping each character individual and memorable. She also does a good job of presenting a story and holding a story line. The E-Book is misformatted causing chapter headings to be on the wrong page. Spacing at times is not consistent and paragraph indentations are missing. The cover is eye catching and well done, but does not allude well to the book and book theme. We at NeoLeaf Press give this book our Silver Recommendation and rate it 4 out of 5 stars. We hope to see much more from this author!
