The Missy Mouse Fund
Back in 2016, first time author Terri Duncan donated a poem to help give hope to children with cancer. She was fighting cancer then as well. In 2018 Terri lost her battle with cancer. She left behind several poems for her children and grandchildren to help them cope after her passing. Cancer is financially and emotionally draining beyond what most people can understand. There's the medical expenses, medication, driving to the doctor. There's also little costs you don't think about: A lift chair for when they've gotten to sick too easily stand. A walker or wheelchair to help them get around. Installing ramps into a home. Making a bathroom accessible. It all adds up. When a person loses their battle with cancer the family must then deal with the financial and emotional burden.
Missy Mouse was the first story Terri Duncan donated. Because of this, we have named this fund after her. Our charity anthology, This Light Won't Go Out, is a collection of stories about love, hope, and the holidays. Eighteen authors including Terri Duncan donated their time and stories to make this happen. This anthology was first released in 2016 and is now being re-released in 2018 in Terri's honor. We at NeoLeaf Press will be donating ALL profits to her family this holiday season. Currently This Light Won't Go Out is listed at 99 cents. We only receive 35 cents for every book. That being said, we need people like you to help. Share the book. Leave a review. Our goal is humble. Present a $100 check to Terri Duncan's family by the end of the year, 2018. |

Terri was one of the most loving, careing, and fun people out there. She never judged people on what others would say. When Roy and I got together I met Terri. They would talk and laugh about all the fun they had together. He would always say that she was a wonderful, fun person and cousin. We would get together and have so much fun. You couldn't be in a bad mood around Terri, she would always make you laugh. Terri was very special to us. She was also very talented. She wrote and sang a song at our wedding, it ment so much to us and is a cherrished memory that we will never forget. Terri was one of those people out there that you just couldn't help but to love. She will always be in our hearts and memories.

Let's Support This Family
Terri's family had her move in with them as she couldn't work or take care of her own apartment during this last fight with cancer. They helped her daily from cooking meals and taking her appointments, to simple things like helping her stand and walk. Each person gave their time and hearts to help her the best that they could.
